Oct. 19-20

Fro Yo & Jo will celebrates its first birthday in Millington. There will be free balloons, cookies, and special deals all weekend. Also, as part of the Refill Our Community program, Fro Yo & Jo has partnered with a local school one day each week to raise money for that schools PTA. A portion of the days proceeds are donated to the schools PTA. The schedule for these days is as follows: E.A. Harrold – First Thursday of each month, Lucy Elementary – Second Monday of each month, Millington Middle School – Third Tuesday of each month and Millington Elementary – Fourth Monday of each month. Oct. 20

The Clopton United Methodist Church located at 5285 Brighton Clopton Road in Brighton will host it’s Fourth Annual Clopton Fest on Oct. 20 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the church grounds. The day is dedicated to a day of Christian fellowship, gospel music, food and fun for all ages. For more information, call Carolyn Cribbis at 413-7123 or Donna Briggs at 873-4939.


Team Trivia Night at the Millington Civic Center Gym.  Doors open at 6 p.m., trivia begins at 6:30 p.m.  There is a fee.Each table must be pre-reserved; reservation deadline is Wednesday, Oct. 17.  Please call Millington Arts and Recreation at 873-5770 or Samantha McCracken at 233-0981 to reserve your team’s table.


Lazy Anchor Fall Festival will be held Saturday 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Lazy Anchor Ranch, Naval Support Activity Mid-South, Millington. Free Hay-rides to the Pumpkin Patch (kids 12 and younger can pick a free pumpkin); free activities for kids including face painting, moon bounce, climbing wall, and more. St. Anne’s Episcopal Church will hold its Annual Barbeque Dinner on Saturday.  Dinner will include pulled pork, beans, coleslaw and dessert.  Take outs will start at noon with sit down service from 4:30-7 p.m. St. Anne’s is located at 4063 Sykes Road in Millington.  For more information, call 872-0303.


Oct. 26

Collectiable Appraisal Open House will be held Friday Oct. 26 from noon to 5 p.m. At the Holiday Inn Express located at 5090 Copper Creek in Millington. This event is presented by the Millington Area Chamber of Commerce. Appraisal evaluations will be performed by Ed Tuten of International Society of Appraisers and Dave Pearson of Auntie Q’s Auction. Oct. 27

Fall Festival at the Millington Farmers’ Market from 8 a.m.- 1 p.m. Hay rides, pumpkin painting, balloon animals, fresh fruits and veggies, and more! For more information, call 873-5770.


The Heritage Festival will be held at Meeman Shelby Forest State Park Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Shelter No. 3 located at 910 Riddick Road in Millington. It’s free to the public and for more information call 876-5215.

A special invitation is being sent out to the Millington Navy Base for the upcoming Halloween Dance  hosted by the VFW Post 5225 at 4065 Avalon Street in West Memphis, Ark., Saturday at 8 p.m. with the Terry Logan Band. Fellowship Baptist Church will hold its annual Craft Fair Bake Sale and Flea Market Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be crafts of all kinds, Christmas baskets and arrangements, homemade jams and jellies. Citywide Clean-Up presented by Millington City Beautiful. Meet at Jameson Park at 8:30 a.m. T-shirt, gloves and bags will be given, lunch will be provided following the clean up. For more information, call 317-0888.


Oct. 28

Halloween Carnival at the Millington Civic Center Gym from 5-7:30 p.m.  Free admission. Costume contest, games, candy, prizes, candy corn guessing game, and more. Concessions will be sold.  For more information, call 873-5770.

Nov. 2-4

The 22nd Annual James Logan Colbert Rendezvous will be held Nov. 2-4 at Meeman Shelby Forest State Park. Take a step back into the 1740-1840 time period and walk in someone else’s moccasins. Enjoy tomahawk throws, vendors, novelty shoots and age old games. It’s open to the public from Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to noon. For those camping, there will be a fee. Nov. 3

The St. William’s Women’s  Club is having their Annual Harvest Dinner and Silent Auction on Sat. Nov. 3, 2012.  We will be serving Turkey & Dressing and all the trimmings.  The Auction will be from 4  to 6:30 p.m. and dinner will be served starting at 5:30. Nov. 7

West Union C.P. Church will host its annual Craft Bazaar Nov. 10 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 3099 West Union. The deadline to register is Nov. 7. Spaces are available at a fee with one table and two chairs provided. More tables are available at an additional fee. For more information, call Sharon Hance 876-3265.
