Chrysler brand to help raise money for E.A. Harrold Elementary School

Star Staff Reports

Today, Homer Skelton Chrysler Dodge Jeep will join with parents and teachers at E.A Harrold Elementary School located at 4943 West Union Road in Millington for a fundraiser in support of Movie Night from 5 to 8 p.m.

During E.A Harrold Elementary School’s Movie Night, parents and guests will have an opportunity to earn a $10 contribution for the school from the Chrysler brand by taking a test drive in the 2012 Chrysler Town & Country.

Everyone is invited to join the fun.  Any licensed driver, age 18 or older, may drive and earn a $10 donation for E.A Harrold Elementary School.  There is no limit to the number of drives or Chrysler’s contribution. Homer Skelton Chrysler Dodge Jeep will provide minivans and insurance for the event, and volunteers from the dealership will be on hand to help out with the fundraising test drives.

“The Chrysler brand is dedicated to supporting the enrichment of our schools and with the assistance of our local dealerships, the Drive for the Kids™ program has helped to raise funds for local schools across the country,” said Shannon Carr, Southwest Business Center Representative. “The Chrysler Town & Country minivan is the perfect family hauler and carries the torch for ultimate versatility, standard luxury and convenience with unsurpassed quality, comfort and value.”

In 1993, Chrysler introduced Drive for the Kids™ and became the first automotive manufacturer to reach out in direct support of local schools.  Since then Chrysler dealers have worked with parents and educators in communities across the nation, and Chrysler has contributed more than $4 million to schools located in communities where Chrysler and its dealers do business.  Learn more about Chrysler Group, LLC at
