Millington resident Paul Langford will be a Tiger

By Thomas Sellers Jr.

Today in the Collierville Lobos’ headquarters, soccer player and Millington resident Paul Langford held a signing ceremony with family members and Lobo Coach Mike Knowles in attendance.

Langford will attend The University of Memphis and play for Head Coach Richie Grant. Langford spent time playing varsity level soccer in the eighth-grate with the Tipton-Rosemark Academy Rebels. Then his soccer career took him England to play with teenagers in league ball.

His biggest progression in the game came under the guidance of the Lobos. His parents Jim and Mary said taking Paul to Collierville to play competitive ball was a huge reason their son was able to sign a Division I scholarship for soccer.

Paul’s soccer career began at 6 in the Millington Parks and Recreation leagues. After starting playing competitive ball at the age of 10, Langford was able attract several college. But he decided to take his talents to Memphis because that was the school he dreamed of playing for seven years ago.
