Millington Central High School paid tribute to 15 basketball seniors last Tuesday night in the William Osteen Gymnasium. For one Millington Lady Trojan, the night was a chance to share the spotlight with two younger family members. Treasure Redding was escorted by Sylver and Xavier Lewis before receiving a gift from the team and Head Coach Bruce Marshall.
Redding is the second leading scorer on the team helping the Lady Trojans win the District 14-3A regular-season title. Redding has a guard’s skill set in a 6’2 frame. She can dribble the ball, shoot the outside shot and dominate the post with rebounding and moves.
Redding, who has a 3.5 grade-point average is deciding to whether to attend Christian Brothers University for academics or continue her basketball career and attend Southwest Tennessee. Redding said no matter what decision she makes, her two biggest cheerleaders will be by her side.
