Longtime E.A. Harrold Principal Tanya Mabry announced last week she is retiring from her post and Shelby County Schools after a 35-year career in education. The Millington Central High School graduate has been the leaders of the Hornets for 15 years. She came to E.A. She found her passion for teaching and working with elementary aged children her sophomore year at then Memphis State University.

The Millington Star spent some time with Mabry reflecting on her career and watching her enteract with her staff as her final days approach. Look in a future edition of the paper recapping the tenure of Mabry.
