JOHN O. CHORLEY SR.
John O. Chorley, Sr., 88, of Munford, passed away April 27, 2013 at home. The family received friends May 1 and held a memorial service at the Munford Chapel. Mr. Chorley was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II former mayor of Munford, former Munford High School principal, and longtime coach and a lifetime educator. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Love Chorley, and sister, “Dimp” Broom; brother, Harold Chorley. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Taylor Chorley; sons, “Chip” Chorley and Larry (Kelley) Chorley; step-sons, Gary (Jackie) Reasons, Robert (Melissa) Reasons, Larry Reasons, and Jimmy (Linda) Williamson; sister, Joanne Norwood; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Vicki Turner, 68, of Brighton, died May 2, 2013 at Signature Healthcare in Memphis. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Mrs. Turner loved bird watching, especially hummingbirds. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Eugene Turner; three daughters, Ellen Hardee (Wayne) of Marion, SC; Teresa Mitchell (Dan); and Ronda Palmer (Jim) all of Brighton; grandchildren, April Spivey (Frank); Rachel Keene; Megan Keene; Kelsi Palmer; and Logan Palmer; sister, Ruth Dare; her brother, Lynn Ferrell; and her sister-in-law, Judy Ferrell; and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elvin and Clara Ferrell; her brother, Jack Ferrell; and sisters, Marsha Ortiz and Deborah Brown.
