Former Tipton-Rosemark Academy Rebel Jacob Johnson has enjoyed the past week at Millington’s USA Stadium. On May 28, Johnson participated in the Second Annual State Farm Shelby County All-Star game helping the Private School team beat the Public School Stars 9-6 with a scoreless inning. Less than a week later, Johnson returned to the historic stadium to make TRA history. He was the first Rebel to sign at USA Stadium inking his letter of intent to play baseball for Southwest Tennessee and Head Coach George Sykes. Johnson earned the scholarship and All-Star selection with a 7-2 record this year. He also was featured in the TRA outfield helping Brad Smith’s Rebels finish in second place during the regular season in league play.
