Bomb Scare at Millington Walmart

Star Staff ReportMillington Walmart 6-6

The Millington Walmart was shut down for two hours Sunday evening because of a bomb threat.
According to sources, Walmart shoppers heard an announcement over the loud speaker to leave the store without being told a reason. Walmart managers evacuated the store Sunday evening as a precaution after a man called and told an employee there was a bomb in the store. Millington Police Department Inspector Charlie Coleman said bomb-sniffing dogs from Tipton County were sent in the store to search for any devices. Nothing was found and the store re-opened about 8 p.m.
