Month of June
Playhouse 51 presents the adult comedy “Bedside Manners” by Derek Benfield June 14 and 15 at 7:30 p.m. at the Harvell Civic Center. When Ferris reluctantly agreed to look after his sister’s seedy out-of-the-way hotel while she’s on a brief vacation, he had no idea what he was getting himself into.  Two young couples arrive having seen an ad for the hotel in a parish newsletter.  Roger’s wife Helen is supposed to be home taking care of his goldfish.  Sally’s husband Geoff is supposed to be home working in his garden.  But they’re not at home.  Helen’s with Geoff and  Roger’s with Sally.  Ferris soon discovers their secrets and  spends a good deal of time and energy in a dizzy round of hilarious events running from room to room to lobby to restaurant trying  to keep everyone separated — at some financial reward to himself, of course.  “Hotel work is hectic. My sister never said it would be hectic.” Tickets are available at the door.  Contains adult themes and situations.  For more information, call 872-7170 or visit
