JAMMin’ for Adoption at Mirimichi is organized by individuals who support the non-profit organization Sacred Selections.
Sacred Selections’ mission is to assist Christian couples financially as they open their hearts and homes to loving and raising a child in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
The dream of parenting does not have to be constrained by limited financial resources. The foundation, its board and many generous donors are committed to using the blessings they have received to assist in the wonderful effort of creating Christian homes and families.
We have been involved in other events to benefit Sacred Selections for the past five years.
Through those efforts in the Memphis area 13 children from all over the world have joined loving families. We are so excited to begin this new effort and hope to reach many more people who believe that every child should have a family that loves them unconditionally. Not all of us are equipped to rear children, but all of us can assist those who desire to make a home for those children and just need a little financial assistance with the costs of adoption. JAMMin’ for Adoption at Mirimichi is actually two events.
On Friday, September 20 the day will begin with a golf scramble on the gorgeous golf course. In the evening we will have a cookout and concert with John Angotti and his band on the Mirimichi Patio. Everyone is invited to participate in either one or both events. There are separate registrations and tickets for the two events. For online registration and more information go to www.jammin4adoption.org

We are honored to have John Angotti and Band perform at the first JAMMin’ for Adoption at Mirimichi September 20.
His personal experience as an adopted child and his prodigious talent make him uniquely suited for our mission of entertaining and raising funds for Sacred Selections. John will perform pop and rock selections with a full band under the stars at the beautiful Patio at Mirimichi while concert goers enjoy a cookout of thick burgers and savory hot dogs. Angotti’s engaging style will fully involve his listeners and guarantee an evening of fun.
Angotti was raised in Clarksburg, West Virginia; a small community nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Third in a family of four adopted children, John’s first ability to speak without stuttering was at the age of four when he sang the hymn “The Church’s One Foundation.” How appropriate for the mission God had planned for him. An accomplished and superb pianist, John began studying piano at the age of seven. His mother, who has been a church musician for over 50 years, motivated him to become involved with church music at a very early age through the children’s choir. “I believe it was there at that age where I truly began to form my beliefs about God through the songs we were singing,” Angotti says.
2012 was the second year John included Memphis on his Extraordinary Love Christmas Tour with a memorable performance at The Cannon Center to benefit Catholic Charities of West Tennessee. The 2012 John Angotti and Friends Family Christmas Concert was live streamed from The Cannon Center to U.S. military bases around the world. Local service families from the Millington Naval Base were invited as guests to the concert.
Thousands of our men and women in uniform were blessed by John’s music in their respective fields of service.
