Chesney named interim city manager of Millington

The Millington Board of Mayor and Aldermen just appointed Michael Chesney interim city manager at today’s meeting at City Hall in Millington. Chesney addressed the board of Bethany Huffman, Hank Hawkins, Frankie Dakin, Larry Dagen, Thomas McGhee and Chris Ford and Mayor Terry Jones. Chesney, who lives in Knoxville, plans to make the commute to Millington to serve in the position vacated by Thomas Christie after the board and mayor voted 4 to 3 to terminate him.

Chesney acknowledged he will be learning on the job but he brings years of successful management skills in the telecommunication industry. He recently help manage Millington Telephone Co. until it was sold to Ritter Communications.

    On this video can we get a microphone on that cougher so we can hear that person coughing and clearing their throat more clearly please. someone get them a glass of water already…jeesh.
