Woodstock Cuba Saddle Club was founded in 1961 and each year the members vote on their Royalty which consist of Queen, Princess and Buckaroo Princess however their 2013 show season has been plagued by rain. WSCS Members had already voted in February at their Membership Drive for their Buckaroo Princess, Layla Holland, however the queen and princess would be decided at the Royalty show in April. They Royalty show was rained out and so was the makeup show. WCSC was not able to start their show season until May 17 at which time the Queen contestants, Ashley Freeze, Emily Grizzard and Katie Mattix along with the Princess contestants Alea Munoz and Megan Freeze were introduced to the club for voting. Again more rain caused shows to be delayed but the club finally was able to vote June 7 and choose Ashley Freeze as their 2013 Queen and Alea Munoz as their 2013 Princess who joined Layla Holland as the 2013 Buckaroo Princess. Woodstock Cuba Saddle Club shows every Friday night (weather permitting) at 8 p.m. For more information about WCSC please contact president Verlon Todd 444-1312 or vice president Pam Farris 409-2485. Beginning July 8 through Sept. 30, the NSA Mid-South commissary will close on Monday and Tuesday. We know that any disruption in commissary operations will impact the NSA Mid-South community. Our commissary is not alone. The decision to reduce the operational hours of commissaries impacts nearly all commissaries with only a few overseas exceptions – commisaries where there are sufficient Local National employees to remain open. We appreciate your support and patience during this time.
