Munford Mayor Dwayne Cole, Barbara Dorn, public relations coordinator for Celebrate Munford and Jennifer Sutthin, entertainment chairman for Celebrate Munford, are pictured working in preparation for the upcoming 13th Munford Celebration to be held Sept. 21 beginning at 9 a.m.
“We will spotlight and honor all our distinguished Military personnel that have served our great country and continuously allow us to enjoy the freedom to assemble and the fruition of congregation,” Dorn said. “We award scholarships to our future leaders to assist them as they pledge their endeavors to obtain their growth in education. This assistance offers a service to mankind seeking the journey toward humanitarian accomplishments.”
Sutthin has shown her excitement about the scheduled entertainment which will contain an array of talent.
“We have procured the largest assemblage of outstanding individuals and groups, including Gospel, contemporary, rock and others,” she said. “Our stages will boast participants from Memphis, Nashville and of course, we proudly display our own wonderful local talent.”
Cole enthusiastically welcomes all ages to the event.
“We have music, food, games, crafts and entrainment for everyone,” he said. “The entire event is free, including parking. The medical, law enforcement, and the fire department will be ably assisted by our prominent reserves as we feel the Munford Celebration is prepared for the huge throngs we anticipate every year.
“The city of Munford proudly invites everyone to come join the fun, have a safe and enjoyable community sponsored celebration,” Cole concluded.
