It was a tough Friday for area teams with Tipton-Rosemark Academy, Brighton and Munford suffering defeats.
The Brighton Cardinals were beaten 34-22 by Station Camp at home. The 6-2 Cardinals look to bounce back this Friday against the Briarcrest Saints.
Just down the road this past Friday, the Munford Cougars hosted the Collierville Dragons. The visitors were able to outlast Munford 36-13. The Cougars will host the Bartlett Panthers this Friday with a 7 p.m. kickoff.
The TRA Rebels traveled to St. George’s to take on one of the best teams in Division II-A. The Gryphons tried to improve their playoff position jumping out to a 21-0 lead after one quarter. St. George’s added 27 points in the second quarter to pull away with a 62-9 win over the Rebels.
The highlight for TRA was a 47-yard field goal from Jordan Carpenter. The Rebels return to action Nov. 1 with a playoff spot on the line against Rossville.
