Brighton’s Hannah “Mo” Whitefoot inked her national letter of intent to attend Williams Baptist College this afternoon in the Brighton High School Library.
Brighton’s Co-Athletic Director Cetrice Bounds welcomed several of Whitefoot’s former youth league coaches to join her former high school coach Richard Vandergrift and current Lady Cardinal Head Coach Shari Garrett for the signing.
Whitefoot was also joined by her parents Amy and Steve and brother Cody for the signing ceremony. Williams Baptist Head Coach Shane Stolz made the trip from Walnut Ridge, Ark., to witness one of his top prospects sign the letter of intent.
Whitefoot was key part of the 2013 District 13-3A regular-season and tournament champions Brighton Lady Cardinals as a midfielder. The senior compiled impressive numbers her entire Brighton career with 32 goals and 25 assists.
She was a captain for three years while helping the Lady Cardinals win two district championships. Whitefoot is a four-time All-District honoree and has three All-District Tournament awards. She is also a member of the Pao Soccer Schools in Memphis.
The little girl who started playing soccer at the age of 4 in Pennsylvania said she is happy to continue her playing career in the Natural State as a Williams Baptist College Eagle.
