Today the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office were notified by Millington Central High School administration that a 17-year old student sitting in a classroom was in possession of some ammunition when some bullets fell out of his pocket. When questioned, he stated that he was holding them for another student.
When the other student, a 17-year old was located in another classroom, he was taken out and searched. That search revealed an unloaded .380 caliber handgun in his pocket which was confiscated. The investigation reveals that the individuals traded each other for the items.
Sheriff’s detectives were called to the school and both juvenile students were arrested and charged with Possession of a Weapon on School Property and transported to Juvenile Court.
