It was a night of celebration, appreciation and reflection—denim & pearls style!
Unlike in years’ past, the evening’s program was very casual. A reception like atmosphere lent hand to a night of celebration and annual award honors.
PERSON OF THE YEAR

The Person of the Year is an award recognizing a member of the Millington Chamber of Commerce (emphasis on a Chamber Member) who is very involved through their individual activities, volunteerism and supportive efforts during the past 1-2 years.
HEART AND HAND
The Heart and Hand award is given to an individual Chamber member business (not an individual) who has contributed a significant amount of time and financial support into chamber activities through sponsorships and volunteerism. The Business has also given the same amount of commitment into other Millington community activities and events as a whole as well (i.e, NSA events, City of Millington events, Arts and Recreation programs, civic clubs events, etc.)
Hall of Honor
Leroy Boatwright, Boatwright Pharmacy
The Hall of Honor is the Chamber’s r lifetime achievement recognition towards an individual for their long-term commitment to the Chamber and the Millington community. The recipient may or may not be a Chamber member but personifies the leadership and community development qualities that nurture a city and a community towards a better quality of life. The award may be given posthumously to family members.
Newly elected 2014 Board Members were announced as well and will be formally installed January 1, 2014. to serve a 3-year term.

Board member Glynn Williford wowed the crowd with his exceptional and surprising auctioneer skills. Donated auction items from many Millington businesses were fiercely bid on and contributed to the excitement of the evening.
