Burks named 2014 MCHS Winterfest Queen

The Queen of the 2014 Millington Central High School Winterfest court was Asha Burks.
The senior was overwhelmed Friday night in the William Osteen Gymnasium being selected by her peers and administrators.I'm excited,” she said with smile. “I didn't expect it. This adds something special to my senior year. 
This give me something to remember and live up to.”
Burks has already compiled an impressive resume' in her time as a student at MCHS. S
he is the daughter of James and Alice Burks. 
She was escorted by her father. She is a member of the Lady Trojan Soccer team. 
In the classroom she earned the right to be a member of the Beta Club, 
National Honor Society, Key Club and NatAsha Burk 2014 Winterfest Queenional Art Honor Society. She is also the editor of the yearbook. 
Burks is planning on attending 
The University of Tennessee at Knoxville 
to major in Physical Therapy.

sophomores Jherkia Brown (escorted by father Michael), 
and Emily Camp (escorted by father Tim),
 juniors Katie Dupree (escorted by father Jason), Mollie Malito (escorted by step-father Scott Reyna) 
and Devin McSwain (escorted by father Chris) and
 seniors Helena Jones (escorted by father Shawn), 
Alexandra K. Martin (escorted by father Pastor Barron V. Martin) 
and Jessica Williams (escorted by brother Joaquin Morrow).
