Fat Tuesday Party Helps Food Bank

Sheffield Antiques Mall in hosted a Mardi Gras Celebration benefiting Mid-South Food Bank on March 4. The benefit, which included an array of Creole dishes, live jazz and a treasure hunt, resulted in almost $5,700 for the Food Bank, which distributes millions of pounds of food to hungry people across the region, including to agency partners in Collierville.

Managers of Collierville’s Sheffield Antiques Mall, Richard Vannucci and Dana Voorhees,
recently presented Mid-South Food Bank President Estella Mayhue-Greer, with a donation check totaling $5,637. The donation was generated from the mall’s Mardi Gras Celebration on March 4 when more than 500 visitors enjoyed the party. The money amounts to 16,911 meals for hungry people in the Mid-South.
