If you were traveling on Highway 51 North in Millington on Saturday night and wondered what all the people were doing holding hands around a BBQ Restaurant, friends and faith leaders gathered to pray for Smokin’ D’s Pit BBQ Restaurant which will partially open on Monday, May 12.
Designed with a race theme mirroring the Memphis Motorsports in our area, Pastor Darrell Boyd and his wife, Sharon, will be serving up spiritual and physical food, some of the best BBQ to eat. Portions of the proceeds will help fund a new Dream Center being planned for the Mid-South to shelter and minister to homeless, women in need, and many other areas.
If they don’t have what you want right away, just come back. Open Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. only so get your Sunday dinner on Saturday and warm it up! Pastor will be in church preaching that day.”
Thought you might be able to use some of this… Former Convoy leader, Pastor at Hope Assembly of God in Frayser on N. Watkins. There is a story here… White pastor who chose to have an almost all black church and God is blessing. He lives in Rosemark. But, wait until you can talk to him and hear his past and why he is called to minister to where he is.
