Sam Seaton, a two-year starter in the infield for the Southwest baseball team, has signed with Bethel University in McKenzie, to continue his education and baseball career.
Seaton, a graduate of Millington Central High School, played first base and third base for the Saluqis as a sophomore this spring. He led the team with a .359 batting average, 11 doubles, five home runs, 26 runs batted in, 81 total bases, a .570 slugging average and a .438 on-base average.
As a freshman first baseman in 2013, Seaton was the Saluqis’ second leading hitter with a .305 average and led the team with 14 doubles and a .413 on-base average.
