The Millington Dairy Queen, to be located at 8569 Highway 51 North, is still under construction. Co-owner Paul Tibbetts said the established hopes to open in a range of June 16-23. The hours will be from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
The eatery will employ 75 people and will seat 72 inside. There will be an addition 25 seats on the patio.
Back in December 2012, Dairy Queen under the guidance of Tibbetts and business partner Woody Ray opened. Tibbetts said the Millington location will have an identical look but with the latest in high tech dining experiences for customers.
The Millington Dairy Queen will feature the full menu including the ready-to-decorate cakes, Blizzard cakes and $5 Lunch Menu from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
Tibbetts and Ray have brought back DQ to the Memphis area in recent years starting with the opening of their first one in Ripley in July 2011. The next to open was Munford and then in Southaven this past November.
The duo plans to open two more Dairy Queens with one in Olive Branch and another in Horn Lake. The Millington DQ will welcome customers soon. For more details on the opening and updates, check out Millington-news.com
