After months of thought processing, former Brighton Cardinal Colby Poston selected Christian Brothers University as his college home.
And Poston recently inked his letter of intent to play baseball for the Bucs. Poston was joined by his high school coaches Brian Oswalt and Jay Jennings along side his parents Audrey and Jason and sister Haley Franks for a signing ceremony held on the BHS campus today.
In his senior campaign, Poston was one of the leaders for the Cardinals reaching Regionals. Colby was the lead-off hitter in the lineup batting .444 with 47 hits. Poston added 26 stolen bases and drove in 22 runs form his lead-off position. He displayed some pop in his bat with 2 home runs.
Poston batted .435 in the postseason while earning All-District 13-3A regular season and tournament honors. At the recent West Tennessee All-Star Game, Poston was named co-MVP.
