It’s time for the Millington Central High School Class of 1984’s 30-year reunion. The committee is planning a blow out celebration Aug. 29 from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Fixins Restaurant at 45 Reeder Ave. in Munford. Classmate David Mcree has offered to close off the eatery for a private party. On Aug. 30 at 7 p.m. at the Millington Hampton Inn and Suites at 8838 Highway 51 North in Millington there will be an event. The Millington Lions Club meets at Olympic Steakhouse in Millington every second and fourth Tuesday at noon. The Lions Clubs works around the world for visually impaired and hearing impaired. The public is welcome to join the Club members and to make additional inquiries.

Join Jeremy Rochell every Monday morning from 9 a.m.-noon for an educational program to make landscape improvements in local parks. This program is open to all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult or pre-register at 7942 Church Street in Millington. All materials will be provided. No fee to participate.

The Millington Crisis Center located at 8011 Wilkinsville Road will be hosting a Back to School Sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Saturday rain or shine, inside or outside. School clothers are $1 each. There will also be school supplies, home pillows, bed toppers, summer items, glassware, small appliances, books, decorative shelves, luggage, snow shovels and more. All proceeds go directly to the general operating fund of the Crisis Center.
The Millington Central High School Football Booster Club will be holding two clean-up days at the MCHS Football Stadium and invites all of the community to join the club, the date of Saturday Aug. 9. Boosters will be there working throughout the day from 8 a.m. until the evening. The public is invited to bring weedeaters, rakes, shovels, paint brushes/rollers, gloves and more.

Wild Game Dinner will be held at Millington First Baptist Church located at 5010 West Union Ave. Millington FBC is hosting their annual wild game dinner on Saturday. The wild game dinner will begin at 5 p.m. (doors open for vendors and appetizers at 2 p.m.)with our special guest speaker Brodie Swisher of Paris. There is a cost for a wild game dinner, which can be purchased in the church office or the church event desk. Millington FBC is hosting a car show in conjunction with their annual wild game dinner on Saturday, Sept. 6. The car show will accept cars for entry from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. (there is a fee for cars). The car show will be from 1- 4p.m. with awards to be given at 5 p.m. before the wild game dinner. Admission is free to attend. Concessions will be provided.
