Shelby County Mayor Mark Luttrell is trying to spread the word to parents of 4-year-olds that a quality start on their child’s education is available in Millington.

There are still position available with the Millington Municipal Schools’ Pre-K programs at E.A. Harrold and Millington Elementary schools.

The Shelby County Commission was able to obtain $3 million for Pre-K programs in Millington, Bartlett and Shelby County Schools. That created an additional 400 positions in the districts.

This is an excellent opportunity to help some of our 4-year old across the county,” Luttrell said. “To get them better prepared for public schools and get a start on their education. These are good programs that we hope to expand.”
