College App Week
Sept. 29- Oct. 3
College App Week is a statewide event sponsored by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission and CollegeforTN.org. The goal of TN College week is to build excitement around the college application process and provide every graduating Tennessee high school senior the opportunity to apply, with a focus placed on first –generation students and students who may not otherwise apply to college. We define college as any formal education after high school.

Monday – Kick Off  (College App)
Tuesday- MCHS College Fair 10-12p.m. Library (Juniors and Seniors)
Wednesday – Senior English Classroom- Filling Out TN Promise
Thursday – College App

NAACP
The NAACP youth council is seeking high school students interested in serving our community. The Youth Council is a citywide organization of high school teens. As members of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, we aim to inspire, motivate, and create interest in community activities. We attempt to provide young people with an understanding of issues relevant to our community. Students are invited to join the NAACP youth Council.
