Green fees at Edmund Orgill Golf Course will again be waived this year for current and former Veterans in observance of Veterans Day.
“This is a way to show appreciation for those who have served our country,” said Shelby County Mayor Mark H. Luttrell, Jr.
Veterans with a military identification card or proof of military service can walk the course for free or pay an $11 cart fee on Nov. 10or Nov. 11.
“Many Veterans have benefitted from this offer during the past few years. We thank our Veterans for their sacrifice to keep our nation safe,” said Lee Hinson, Executive Director of the Shelby County Conservation Board.
Orgill Golf Course at 9080 Bethuel Road is Shelby County Government’s only public golf course. It opens at 7 a.m. and closes at dusk.
