At the Millington Area Chamber of Commerce’s January membership meeting on Jan. 6 at the Baker Community Center, Rebecca Dailey (center) of Goody’s Department Store located at 8221 Highway 51 North, presented a check for $665 to the Millington Education Foundation as part of the company’s “30 Days of Giving” campaign. From left members of the foundation include Dianne Baker, Mark Healy, Leanna Dagen, Rosie Crawford, Beth Hearn, Cary Vaughn and Chris Ford were on hand for the presentation. The Millington Education Foundation was established by the Chamber to support Millington schools. The foundation accepts donations and raises funds to award grants to teachers and/or schools for innovative and creative classroom projects and experiences that enrich education in the Millington Municipal School District. Last year, the Millington Education Foundation awarded 22 grants totaling more than $11,000 to Millington’s four schools.
