One of the best secondary players in the state of Tennessee has found a college football home.

Brighton senior Cameron Butler is heading to Fremont, Neb., to play for the Midland University Warriors. The program led by Head Coach Josh Gehring plays in the GPAC of the NAIA. Gehring took over at Midland in 2012.

The Warriors add Butler who was a fixture in the Brighton Cardinal secondary the past couple of seasons. Brighton Head Coach Robin Jacobs describes the 5’11, 170-pound athlete as a leader of consistency on and off the field.

Butler was one of the leaders in tackles and pass break-ups for the Cardinals this past season. He was ranked among the top defensive backs in the Tennessee by MaxPreps.
