Ongay wins first in ACT-SO Filmmaking

ACT SO winner 2015 ACT SO Winner performsMillington Central High School broadcasting student Noah Ongay won first place in The 2015 Memphis Regional NAACP ACT-SO Competition for Filmmaking on March 13 at First Baptist Church Broad. As a Gold Medal winner Ongay will now go on to the national competition in Philadelphia this July. The Memphis Branch of The NAACP along with Broadcasting Instructor Marshonn Calvin will be working with him to prepare for Nationals over the next few months. Ongay was the first Asian American to compete and win in the filmmaking division of The Memphis NAACP ACT-SO in the Mid-South.
