Fresh Starts

TRA Alex Langford at batTipton-Rosemark Academy freshman pitcher Tyler Flynn throws his first varsity shutout  Friday at Haywood County. Flynn got the call to the mound to start the game from Head Coach Brad Smith. After four shutout innings and with a commanding 15-0 lead, Flynn watched his Rebels teammates put up another six runs leading to a 21-0 final. Flynn had control throughout the contest. TRA senior Steven McDaniel contributed from the mound pitching the final inning keeping the Tomcats scoreless. Other players to note were freshman catcher Alex Langford (above) had three singles. Langford also contributed from behind the plate throwing out a Haywood runner at second on a stolen base attempt.
