Bass Pro PyramidCelebrate attraction’s grand opening with celebrities and giveaways supporting conservation organizations

MEMPHIS — Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid, an iconic new destination experience located in downtown Memphis, will celebrate its grand opening Wednesday, April 29 at 6 p.m. with a special Evening for Conservation event.
The event will feature an all-star cast of celebrities from the world of sports, entertainment and the outdoors joining together to help Bass Pro Shops celebrate the opening of one of the most dynamic retail experiences in the world.
In addition, Big Cypress Lodge will welcome its first guests to the wilderness hotel.
This project represents the single largest investment in size and scope that Bass Pro Shops has ever made outside of its national headquarters in Missouri. With an array of retail, educational and fun attractions for guests of all ages, the experience is much more than a store; it’s a deeply engaging, one-of-a-kind adventure. In addition to vast assortments of outdoor gear, the new destination experience will include wilderness hotel Big Cypress Lodge, 600,000 gallons of water features; a cypress swamp with 100-foot-tall trees; the interactive Ducks Unlimited Water-fowling Heritage Center; and a breathtaking glass-floored cantilevering observation deck at the top of the 32-story steel pyramid. The experience is poised to become a “must-see” experience for outdoor lovers and families from across the country beginning April 29.
Grand opening to support conservation activities
In keeping with Bass Pro Shops’ commitment to conserving wildlife and the outdoors for future generations to enjoy and protect, the company will donate 50 cents of every dollar spent during the Evening for Conservation to nonprofit conservation organizations including Ducks Unlimited and America’s Wildlife Museum and Aquarium.
“The people of our company believe very strongly that the future of our industry, the sports we serve, and the sports we personally enjoy are absolutely more dependent upon our conservation efforts and how we manage our natural resources than anything else,” said Bass Pro Shops Founder Johnny Morris. “It is far more important than any catalog we mail, any new store we open, or any new product our vendors create.”
The celebration will be the first opportunity for fans to step inside the transformed Memphis Pyramid. In addition to being part of history, guests can experience special exhibits, storewide savings on a huge assortment of products, and fantastic giveaways with celebrities, and experts on fishing, hunting, water-fowling and boating available to talk with guests.
