The Millington Star talked to Millington Central High School officials about today’s cancellation of classes. There was a flood on the campus at the Technical Education Building leading to school being closed for the entire day at MCHS.
Some of the faculty, staff and students got the news of school being postponed at MCHS today by showing up on campus before 7 a.m. Some reports came down that school would try to start on a two-hour delay. But it is confirmed that classes for April 14, 2015 at MCHS are canceled. The water appeared to come through storm drains. Crews are currently on the scene cleaning up the water and checking on bacteria levels.
According to officials there were minor issues with storm water at Millington Middle School and E.A. Harrold, but the school day proceeded as usual. Flash floods caused those issues as well.
