Once again the Tipton-Rosemark Academy Baseball program gathered together for a signing day. Today the Rebels congregated in the school’s lobby to celebrate Gil Erwin committing to Christian Brothers University.
Erwin is the senior ace for Brad Smith’s program this year. And when he’s not on the mound, Erwin is roaming centerfield as one of the top defensive contributors for the Rebels.
The son of Paul “Skip” and Kendy Erwin was recruited by the Bucs for both of his skill sets. During his career, Erwin has the second most victories for a starter in program history behind current Memphis Tiger Connor Alexander.
Erwin is in the top 3 in most major pitching categories in TRA Baseball history along side Alexander and current Arkansas State hurler David Owen. Erwin makes the 19th signing in the last 8 years for TRA Baseball.
