The William L. Osteen Chapter of National Honor Society of Millington Central High School inducted more than 50 students tonight during a ceremony in the MCHS Auditorium. Faculty sponsors Cate Mitchell and James Horton joined current NHS members to perform the induction. MCHS senior and NHS President Josh Taylor led the inductees in the NHS pledge after his peers reviewed the four pillars of the organization, scholarship, leadership, service and character. Members Lindsey Harris, Jessica Parks, Holly Smith and Taylor read the definitions for those pillars.
The William L. Osteen Chapter, named after the education pioneer of Millington, was established in 1965. The 2015 induction is the first under Millington Municipal Schools.
