Howard SigningThis afternoon, the Munford Lady Cougar Basketball program celebrated the signing of guard Phenicia Howard to Shawnee Community College in Illinois.

Howard was joined by her teammates, parents Danny and Michell, high school coach Steve Poindexter and new Head Coach Luke Scheidecker. Howard earned her way onto the roster of the Saints by helping the Lady Cougars reach Sub-State in 2013 and Regionals the past two seasons.

Howard also worked in the weight room with her father and spent hours on the court working on her shooting, dribbling and passing. She also noted Poindexter has a huge part of her development into a college-level guard.
