The River City Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution met at Old Timer’s Restaurant in Millington, for their regular meeting and awards luncheon.
Regent, Natalie Payne welcomed the award winners, family and Chapter members, Marge Smith, chaplain gave the invocation and vice regent, Nancy Foshee lead the Pledge of Allegiance and treasurer, Rebecca Trafford read the preamble to the United States Constitution.
Following lunch, Julie Forbess presented the Amerian History Essay Contest winners.

Judy Ray presented the Jr. ROTC winner cadet Serena Davilla of Millington Central High School.
Davilla’s mother, Stephanie Massey accepted her daughters award.
DAR Good Citizen winners were presented by Foshee to Bolton High School’s Brett Freeman and Munford High School’s John Louis Lombardo.
Foshee also presented Carolyn Stricklin, DAR member, with a certificate for Outstanding support of the State Regent Project.
Members and guest joined together to sing God Bless America to close the meeting.
