Vaughn’s latest honor is just part of special 2014-15 for TRA Fine Arts

11 NOMINATIONS in the Orpheum’s High School Musical Theatre Awards for:
1) Outstanding Front of House
2) Outstanding Production Materials – Thank you Ben and the Print Shop for making them so beautiful
3) Outstanding Chorus
4) Outstanding Music Direction
5) Outstanding Hair & Makeup
6) Outstanding Costumes
7) Student Technical Achievement Award (Patrick Brown)
8) Jessi Edgerly for Outstanding Featured Actress
9) Shelbi Sellers for Outstanding Lead Actress
10) A.J. Wimberley for Outstanding Supporting Actor
11) Outstanding Over-all Production

Congratulations to the TRA Choirs for a clean sweep of the awards at the Festivals of Music National Choir Competition in Atlanta this past weekend. TRA competed against schools from Pennsylvania to Louisiana.
The TRA Women’s Choir won Best Overall High School Choir at the competition. Ashley Sweeney won Best Soloist. The TRA Jazz Choir, Show Choir, Mixed Choir, and Women’s Choir each won first place in their respective divisions and received a Superior (the highest) rating. This is the first time in the history of TRA that all four choirs have received Superior ratings at the same festival.
