EDU Chip Wilson Mississippi College 7-16Mississippi College recently held its annual Honors Convocation to recognize its top students for their academic achievements and service to the university. The honors day ceremony was held at First Baptist Church in Clinton.
John R. “Chip” Wilson IV was selected for the HEADWAE Outstanding Student award. The HEADWAE (Higher Education Appreciation Day- Working for Academic Excellence) program is sponsored by the Mississippi Legislature, supported by our corporate community, and is coordinated by the Mississippi Association of Colleges. Each year, HEADWAE honors an outstanding student from each participating member institution of the Mississippi Association of Colleges.
Wilson was also recognized as a member of the Hall of Fame. This award was established in 1960 to honor for senior students for outstanding leadership ability, scholastic achievement, extra-curricular activities participation, contribution to student life and dedication to the serving of God and fellowman.
