The 2015-16 school year marks the 50th Anniversary of Tipton-Rosemark Academy. The school began in 1965 as Tipton Academy in a small private home in Munford. Today the Christian, college preparatory school is located in Millington, with an enrollment of 570 students in grades 3K – 12th grade.
“We have made many strides in the past fifty years,” said John Scott, Head of Schools. “But some things remain the same, including one of the main reasons the school began. Our children still come to school everyday in a safe, nurturing environment where they are able to freely worship God.”
Throughout the school year TRA will celebrate alumni and key partners in the school’s history and growth. During Football Homecoming on October 9th, TRA will honor their Hall of Fame Members. The Hall of Fame consists of alumni, parents, grandparents, teachers, and administrators who have worked tirelessly over the past 50 years to ensure the school’s success. The school will also hold a Day of Worship during Basketball Homecoming in January and a formal Gala in April.
“TRA has remained a vital part of this community for 50 years and we are proud to reach this milestone,” said Scott. “As we celebrate the past, we also look forward to the future and the next 50 years of preparing our students for college and life.”
