The Tipton-Rosemark Academy Rebels earned win No. 1 of the season in a big way by dominating Macon Road 56-13 Friday night.
Rebel senior quarterback AJ Hightower posted big numbers with 107 yards passing with a touchdown toss to Ethan Carpenter. Hightower added 164 rushing yards scoring the Rebels’ first three touchdowns of the night to make the score 21-7. He had touchdown runs of 69, 13 and 27 yards.
After Hightower tossed a TD pass to Carpenter, TRA’s Brodie Starnes picked up the scoring with two TD runs, including a 56-yard score. Jose Flores scored the final touchdown for TRA on the night from 21 yards out. The Rebels compiled 526 yards of total offense in the victory.
Now the Rebels look to pick up Region win No. 1 this season taking on Fayette Academy this Friday at home.
