The 26th International Goat Days Festival was held this past weekend at the historic USA Stadium in Millington. The opening ceremony brought out hundreds Friday night to kickoff the event. Millington Mayor Terry Jones had the honors of inducting the Millington Central High School NJROTC presenting the colors. Caroline Hayes delivered the National Anthem to the crowd of people and goats. After the parade of goats, classic cars and humans dressed as goats, patrons made their way to all the vendors featuring Native American displays, the Millington Arts Council, food stations, arts and craft and the Millington Senior Citizens’ Club giving out white beans and cornbread for a donation. Working that booth were members like Hazel and Farris Hodges and friends David Crow and Jerry Carter.  The Millington Arts Council booth was conducted by EA Harold Art Teacher Lori Campbell and MCHS Art Teacher Joanne Zachery. A couple of EA Harold artist Emily McKell and Haylee Dockery worked on a new creation at the event. Jones said the weather was a great addition to the event validating all the hard work behind the scenes to conduct the 26th Goat Days.
