-The Millington Lions Club meets at Olympic Steakhouse in Millington every second and fourth Tuesday at noon. The Lions Clubs works around the world for visually impaired and hearing impaired. The public is welcome to join the Club members and to make additional inquiries.

-Soul Out Ministries’ Hot Nutritional Meal are served every Thursday at the Baker Community Center at 7942 Church Street from noon to 1 p.m. The program is a local non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible. The Dixie Echoes, a Southern Gospel Quartet, will be in concert at Grace Baptist Church on Saturday evening, March 5 at 6 p.m. The church is located at 9171 Brunswick Road in the Rosemark area. The March meeting of the Lucy Garden Club will be held March 7. The guest speakers for March are Terry and Teresa Nance of Bayless Nursery on Walsh Road. They will be discussing new plant introductions for this year. The Club will meet at the Lucy Wedding Chapel at 6185 Chase Road in Millington. The meeting starts promptly at 6:30 p.m. with the guest speaker followed by refreshments and than the business meeting. Millington Elementary is hosting a Spring Fling on March 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will consist of 40 or more silent auction baskets, vendor booths, concessions, pie the teacher, kiss a pig and inflatables for the kids.
The Millington City Beautiful Gardening Series will continue Tuesday, March 15 at 6:30 p.m. with “Growing Organic Vegetables and Blueberries” presented by Alvin Harris (local organic farmer).
