Millington Elementary School participated in the “Hoops for Heart” fund raiser to raise money for the American Heart Association. Although the school set a goal of $500, the students of Millington Elementary School far exceeded that goal raising more than $4,000. All donations to the American Heart Association go directly to help their mission of building healthier lives free of cardiovascular disease and stroke. Heart disease is America’s killer and our efforts are to lower that statistic. The students at Millington elementary are learning heart healthy habits that they can use for a lifetime. Those who helped coordinate the Hoops for Heart at Millington Elementary were Youth Market Director for AHA Savannah Ratcliff (left) and MES Coaches Wade Wallace, Dustin Duren and Pat LaPradd.
