St. James CME Church will host a car wash Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Curtis Tire & Auto Service located at 4700 Navy Road in Millington.

The Third Annual Horsapalooza at Woodstock will be held April 30 with no gate fee from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be vendors, pony rides, face painting live music and more. All proceeds from Horsapalooza benefit the Woodstock Cuba Saddle Club Youth Group. The Club is located at 7211 Woodstock Cuba Road in Millington. The National Day of Prayer will be May 5. Munford’s observances will be held that day at Munford City Park located at 101 College St. at 6:30 p.m. For more information, visit

May 7-8
The Turtle Island Native American Association will present the 11th Annual Turtle Island Powwow May 7-8 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at USA Stadium.
This year’s special guest will be John T. Wayne. The author of numerous books on the Civil War and Old West is the grandson of the “Duke” John Wayne.
The younger Wayne’s books focuses on orphans that grew up to become the cowboys most Americans know like Judge Isaac Parker, Wyatt Earp, Wild Bill and Nat Love. There are admission fees with Military in uniform free. Concessions will be available. For more information, call 876-4015.

Health Department Director Dr. Alisa Haushalter will be the guest speaker to grant the Jones-Phillips Civic Club information on the Zika Virus. The Club’s personal business meeting will be 5:30- 6:15 p.m. Invite your friends and neighbors of this meeting. May 21
There will be a gospel concert by The Road to Emmaus Quartet at West Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 3099 West Union Road, in Millington on May 21 at 6 p.m. followed by a potluck dinner. A love offering will be taken for The Road to Emmaus Quartet. Come hear the gospel music and bring your best potluck dish.  For more information call Debbie at 876-5757.

The Youth Spaghetti Dinner and Auction will be on May 28.  The meal starts at 5 p.m. and the auction at 6 p.m.  If you have any items to donate, contact Diana Meinweiser at 835-3352 or Brother Jim at 481-5757.  The dinner and auction will be held in the Family Living Center at West Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 3999 West Union Road in Millington.

The Millington Central High School Classes of 1975 & 76 is preparing for a reunion. Attention 1975/1976 Millington Central High School Graduates: the upcoming 40th Reunion Events to be held Friday, June 10, and Saturday, June 11.
This summer will be the 40th anniversary year for the Millington Central High School Class of 1976.
Friday, June 10
Family Picnic – 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. CST

Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Barbecue Baked Beans, Cole Slaw/Potato Salad, Choice of Beverage including Colas, Iced Tea or Water and Assorted Desserts

5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. CST – Conversation time, Meal time, Group photos and more
7:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. CST – “Lessons Learned and Crazy Times at MCHS!”
8 p.m. to 10 p.m. CST – “MCHS Grads Have Talent” Corner (sign up early to get a coveted spot)
Bring your dancing skills, your guitar and/or your fabulous voice.  Show us your stuff!
There will be room to roam (indoors and outdoors) and to reconnect with special friends and former classmates. Former faculty members from our years at MCHS will be invited as special guests.
All graduates from the MCHS graduating classes of 1975 and 1976 and their guests/families (including children and grandchildren) are invited.
Tickets are $10 per adult and $7.50 per person for ages 12 and under.

June 11
On behalf of Millington Trojan Football Head Coach Chris Michael and the entire Trojan Football Program, you are invited to participate in the annual Trojan Football Classic Golf Scramble. This year’s 4-man Scramble will be held on Saturday, June 11 at Glen Eagle Golf Course.
All of the proceeds will go towards the Trojan Football program and helps us keep down costs to the players, parents, coaches, and the School.
Come out for a day of golf, fun and food.
The 15th Annual Trojan Football Classic will tee off at 1 p.m. and their is a cost for the scramble.
