In Drinking Habits, the Sisters of Perpetual Sewing are an impoverished convent in eminent danger of having to close and join the Sisters of Grueling Hard Work. That is, they were, until Sisters Augusta and Philamena discover that their recipe for wine outsells their Mother Superior-approved grape juice by leaps and bounds. It’s their little secret and how they make enough money to keep the convent open. However, two investigative reporters are about to blow their cover. Disguised as a nun and a priest, they come snooping to find out if the $250,000 prize-winning wine actually comes from the convent.
Add in a suspected spy from Rome, a priest who’s a former magician, a new nun, and various other mistaken identities and things at the convent get a little crazy — but only in the most hilarious fashion. All in all, every one of these zany characters are a joy to watch.
