Kids Camp will be held at the Baker Community Center from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday July 18 – Friday July 22. Kids Camp is here! Come join Millington Arts, Recreation, and Parks for a fun summer week of events! This event is for ages 6-12 years old. This week will be filed with many recreational activities, arts and crafts, and educational programs. The Arts Council has helped to sponsor the arts and crafts for the camp and we will provide free snacks and drinks to each child. Some activities include: roller skating, a variety of sports, a visit from our local State Park Ranger who will be bringing some of her wildlife friends, and many more activities. July 20
Come out and join  the City of Millington’s free dance lessons on the first and third Wednesday night of the month at 7:30-9 p.m. at the Baker Community Center. This is for ages 10 and older. Learn multiple styles of dance from West Coast Swing to Line Dancing! Parents are welcome to come and join in on the classes. Ages 15 and younger need to be accompanied by an adult. The dance lessons will be followed by a Dance Night on the last Friday of each month with a cost per child. For more information, call 873-5770.

July 21
The National Active & Retired Federal Employees Association, Chapter 1382 meeting will be held at noon Thursday, July 21 at Applebee’s Restaurant, 8472 Highway 51 North in Millington. For more information, call Carolyn Cribbis at 413-7123.

July 24-27
Vacation Bible School time has arrived at West Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church. VBS is for ages Pre-Kindergarten through sixth grade and will be July 24-27. Some of the areas covered will be science, story time, crafts, recreation  and of course, snacks. The hours are 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.  Registration is on July 24 and graduation is July 27. Aug. 27
The Mid-South Camaro Club “Riding For a Cause” presents the Riverfront Car Show at Tom Lee Park Saturday in Memphis. The event will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a fee. All cars are welcome and for more information, call Lisa McPherson at 334-8805. Proceeds will benefit The Wings Foundation. Visit
