10th Annual St. Jude Peoria to Memphis Ride

PEORIA, Ill — On Thursday, Sept. 15, 225 St. Jude Riders will begin their journey from Peoria to Memphis to raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The Riders will leave from Walters Brothers Harley Davidson (615 S. Maxwell Road, Peoria, Ill.) at 7:00 a.m. and the send-off ceremony will begin at 6:30 a.m.

The group will separate and ride in three groups as far as Dyersburg, where they will stay overnight on Sept.15. On the morning of Sept. 16, five additional ride groups from Princeton, Ill., Nashville, Sterling/Rock Falls, Ill., Des Moines, Iowa, and Kansas City, Mo., will join the Peoria group and arrive at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. While in Memphis, the group will experience presentations by hospital executives and staff and tour the world renowned hospital.

Since inception, the St. Jude Rides have raised more than $3.7 million.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is internationally recognized for its pioneering work in finding cures and saving children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. Founded by late entertainer Danny Thomas and based in Memphis, St. Jude freely shares its discoveries with scientific and medical communities around the world.

Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
