The Millington Lady Trojans Basketball got a busy week off to a great start with a 64-14 victory over the Craigmont Lady Chiefs. It was the first of three games this week as the regular season comes to a close for Millington. It was also a time for celebration as it was Senior Night and this team had 6 seniors to recognize with Kayla Dotson, Keria McGhee, Micaiah Halliburton, Erin Alexander, Savannah Spearman and Jontavia Bonner.
A special moment for the injured Bonner as she took the floor for the start of the game as a way to recognize her four-year career. Bonner has been a starter here for four years.
The Lady Trojans used their trademark pressure defense to create numerous easy opportunities to score as they finished with 26 steals. Halliburton led the way with 16 points and 7 steals, Keria McGhee added 14 points and 5 steals and Kayla Dotson had 10 points, 4 assists and 3 steals. Erin Alexander had 4 rebounds and 4 steals and Savannah Spearman had 6 points and 3 rebounds as all of the seniors had a hand in the victory. Ten different players scored for the Trojans in the game.
