Football Offensive Star of the Season
Tommy Clifton
Millington went won back-to-back Region 8-4A championships this past season led by Tommy Clifton. The Trojan product heading to Harding University was named the league’s Offensive Player of the Year, a Liberty Bowl High School All-Star and also won various other awards. Clifton had a senior season for the record books at Millington. He rushed for 1,672 yards and 25 touchdowns. Meanwhile he threw for 13 touchdowns with 1,238 yards in the air.

Football Defensive Star of the Season
Carson Roberson
The defensive leader of the Munford Cougars shined all across the line. From his usual spot as an defensive end, Roberson led the Cougars in sacks. He was among the leaders in quarterback hurries and tackles in Region 8-5A. He was named All-Region 8-5A first team defensive. Roberson also snagged an Liberty Bowl High School All-Star spot.

Volleyball Star of the Season
Mary Leslie Cranford
The Tipton-Rosemark Academy Lady Rebel Volleyball legend will continue her playing career at Itawamba in the fall. She was vital to the success of the Lady Rebels the past four years going to multiple Sub-States. Cranford’s hitting percentage was .227 with 69 blocks, 156 aces, 544 digs, 99 assists and 906 kills in her career. Cranford was also named All-Region her senior season.

Wrestling Star of the Season
Jaden Tincher
One of the most decorated Millington Trojan wrestlers ever wrapped up his career with a fifth place finish at State in the 106-pound division in Franklin.
Tincher earned his way to State by winning the Region championship. Tincher was the leader from the practice mat to meets for the Trojans working alongside his coaches to help improve teammates like Malik Wooten (113), Milton Yarbrough (126), Lonzell Blackwell (138), Garrett Haley (145), Jahmir O’Kain (152), Drew Hassenberg (182), Verdo Young (195) and Tony “TJ” Graves (285).
Tincher was voted Wrestler of the Year for the second year in a row by his team.

Girls Soccer Star of the Season
Maiya Reed
The leading scorer for the Munford Lady Cougars in 2019 on the soccer field was Maiya Reed. The junior put her skills on display against rival Millington this past season with a memorable performance. Reed tallied two goals in the first half helping the Lady Cougars take a 3-1 lead at the break. Then Reed tallied two more goals in the final 40 minutes of action to secure the rivalry win 5-1. The Lady Trojans went on to reach Regionals. Reed had solid performances against top level competition the entire season to earn an all-region selection.

Girls Basketball Star of the Season
Briana Hall
With a team featuring players like Raven Sims, Jordan “Jojo” Allen, Cat Turner, Megan Sanfratello and Abby West, it was no surprise the TRA Lady Rebels made their first trip to the Division II-A Girls Basketball Tournament this past season. One of the consistent leaders on that team from November to February was Briana Hall. The junior small forward used her slashing moves and outside shooting to be one of the leading scorers on the team. Hall reached the career 1,000-point mark and is in position to finish her Lady Rebel career as the all-time leading scorer.

Basketball Star of the Season
Alex Anderson
Leading the TRA Rebels in most major offensive categories, Anderson helped his team make another deep run into the postseason just missing a return trip to State. The junior forward averaged more than 20 points a game in 2019-20. His efforts earned him a Division II-A Mr. Basketball Finalists spot, first in program history.

Golf Star of the Season
Jaden Tincher
The Trojan spends his falls on the links. Tincher was the No. 2 golfer for Millington most of the season. When it came time for the district tournament, Tincher shot the best score for the Trojans.
